Frequently asked questions

Is Capy Arena free to play?

Yes. All three games, Capy Cross, Floating Capy and Capy Run, are free to play in your browser on a phone or a computer. There's nothing to download, and you don't need an account or a wallet to practise. When daily contests return, they'll be free to enter.

What is practice mode?

Practice is unlimited and free. Every practice run uses a new random course, and practice scores never appear in the rankings. Use it to learn the controls, try new routes, or warm up. Each game has a full guide under How to Play.

Are daily contests running right now?

No. Daily contests are paused right now. Practice is open for all three games. When contests run again, it will be announced on this site and on our Telegram channel.

How do ranked attempts work?

When daily contests return, each player gets three free attempts per game per day, and the best of the three is the score that counts. Everyone plays the same course that day, so every player faces the same challenge. A ranked run begins after a three-second countdown. Once it has started, switching tabs or putting the app in the background for more than two seconds ends the run, and your score at that moment is the one recorded.

Do I need a crypto wallet?

Not to practise. To enter a daily contest you connect a Solana wallet: it links your ranked scores to you, and it's where prizes are sent. Capy Arena never holds your funds and never sees your seed phrase or private keys.

Who can take part?

Anyone aged 13 or older can use the site and play practice runs. To enter prize contests you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that's higher, and live somewhere contests are available. The Terms have the details.

How do you keep the rankings fair?

Every ranked run is replayed on our server, and any score whose replay doesn't match is held for review. Results are checked again before any prize is sent. The Fair play page explains how this works.

What is the token for?

Capy Arena has a Solana token that's used on the site for username changes and cosmetic items for your capy; you never need it to play or to enter a contest. More on the Token page.
